The History of Soap Making

I meet people all the time to ask questions about the bleach in our handmade soaps. Some come from afar with a new understanding of soap making, others just turn up your nose. :-)

Bleach is essential for the art of soap making. It has been used for literally thousands of years to make various types of soap across all continents. Soap made to hand has its origins in ancient history.

Although it is believed by many that the soap story actually began around 2800 BC in Babylon (where historians is a barrel that contains a substance similar to soap), undeniable proof of the existence of soap was provided by a Mesopotamian clay tablet dating from 2200 BC with a real soap recipe attached to it. The former soap-making technique to describe the mixture of potash and oil to form a cleaning agent.

It is almost certain that the Egyptians would also make some kind of soap or a cleanser. Egypt manuscripts describe a substance created by combining animal fat and vegetable oils to create a soap base. Documents from about 1500 BC, are going to explain another type of soap that is used in the production of wool.

Around 200 AD the ancient Greeks were said to have used a mixture of ash to clean the statues and pots. The Gauls and Romans also made soap with animals fat, ash, oak and goat's milk. Goat's milk appears to have been his favorite, and I can understand why! They made hard and soft soap products.

Today These days, the soap is from vegetable or animal fats and alkali. In the past, however, people made their own soap from animal fat and wood ash. Regardless who created the mix, is certainly used in Rome. This is a fact established by the shop of a manufacturer of soap was discovered in the ruins of Pompeii after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The Romans often used as a cosmetic soap. It is very popular among the ladies, for they used it to dye their hair red. Extracts plants were probably used to purchase this color.

By 600 AD the soap-making guilds were formed and the modern formula for the soap we use today was created.

The Hebrews used a base of salt when creating your cleaner. This salt, used in a similar way by many ancient cultures can be easily found in the lakes. They used to create the alkali salt called for in recipes.

In the eighth century, it is documented that there were factories soap in Italy and Spain. Not until the twelfth or thirteenth century this industry was adopted by France. France, then moved to the tradition to England. The French made your soaps almost exclusively on olive oil, while the English got into many different types of soap.

The Industrial Revolution changed forever the commercial production of soap. People stopped to make at home and began buying from a catalog or store. While the poor still do not make your own soap from wood ash and animal fats.

Today, the bleach is a product in the list of "success" because it is used in the production of methanphetamine. You can not buy in the store as we did 30 years ago. Must be ordered or purchased from a vendor with a lot of paperwork to go along with it! But, it is still possible to make your own cheap and all natural soap at home. You can do from the beginning with the bleach and soybean oil, coconut oil or olive oil, or request base Rebatching a trusted supplier.

Anyway, glyercin natural soaps are the way forward! Commercial detergent soaps are more moisturizer that nowadays. Vegan or at least, all natural, ingredients are best. Make your own soap or buy soap makers like me – and be kind to your skin!

How to incorporate fruits and vegetables in the diet of their children?

The main aspect that separates man from any other animal is believed to agriculture. We grow different types of fruits and vegetables that are rich in protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. But as we are keen to make tasty food, that the process of too much food and make it fast and junk food, reducing their nutritional value.

We all know that children should have the right amount of fruit and vegetables to maintain their energy levels right. However, children eat for taste rather than health (like most adults). Communication children about the goodness of vegetables is a good idea, but rarely helps in making them interested in them. Parents need to play clever tricks to make feed their children if they are fussy eaters.

Fruits

1) Juice: Young children are uninterested in eating certain fruits such as oranges, mausambi how they feel too lazy to peel. Although losing the goodness of the fiber, the juice is a better option because they can drink without effort. If they are not prone to allergies, cold juice is a good alternative.

2) milk shakes: Prepare delicious milkshakes that children will come for more and they are the best in the summer season.

3) The fruit ingredients: Add fruits to your chilled ice cream or custard and let them enjoy the taste, while enjoying the view of their fruit consumption.

Vegetables:

1) Different types of rice: the kids these days enjoy spicy food. They do not like to have the curry, but when the same vegetables are added to different types of products like Biriyani rice, fried rice, tomato rice, coconut rice, green rice, etc., no fuss about them. Vegetables should be well cut and chopped to not remove it while eating.

2) Noddles: Maggi is time for all the favorites of all children in India. Add all suitable plant, such as tomato, onion, carrots, beans, etc., to make noodles, healthy and tasty.

3) Chat: children love to eat the prepared speeches bhandars chatting. You can prepare lectures, even at home by adding finely chopped vegetables of your choice. Please find recipes for chats on this site for more ideas.

4) Sandwich: Let your child be creative. Provide your child with the necessary ingredients for a sandwich and ask them to prepare a sandwich for the family.

5) Soup: Soup is an ideal which can be served as soon as his son is back school. Experiment with different kinds of vegetable soups. This is sometimes better than other elements such as the child can not see the vegetable he / she does not like. You can add pepper or some other element to hide the taste of the item not liked by the child is still to convey the goodness in it.

6) Manchuria: Prepare this dish Chinese with all the vegetables finely diced. As the balls are fried, the taste of vegetables vanishes.

This provides your child with adequate amounts fruit and vegetables that build power and endurance necessary to prevent hail and healthy.

What should I serve hot tea with Thai food?

If I were to make grilled chicken with sweet chili sauce, jasmine rice, curry red coconut soup with vegetables, and vegetable rolls, which I serve hot tea? Jasmine tea? PS I do not like anything that involves the sweetened condensed milk. PSS suggestions for specific types and / or brands are welcome!

If you feel that you have to serve hot tea and then I would not go with Jasmine. It is very fragrant and could compete with food (beat) I would suggest an oolong tea or smoked India Black Tea (which will be named when I remember)

Nutrients for Health

Carbohydrates:

Carbohydrates are the energy food or what we call macronutrients. Three other macronutrients diet, in addition to carbohydrates, which are proteins, fats and alcohol. It is important to understand that a carbohydrate is not a food, but rather a very component important food.
Foods such as cereals, breads, pasta, rice, fruits and some vegetables (potatoes, for example) are called "carbohydrate" but they really are foods rich in carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates are the most important source of energy in our diet. For a healthy heart, hydrates carbon account for about 55% of daily energy requirements of food intake. Most carbohydrate foods are also rich sources of vitamins (especially vitamin B and folic acid), minerals (including iron and zinc) as well as fiber and phytochemicals (natural food other components turned out to be beneficial to health.)

Carbohydrates are a combination of the following:
1.Starch – found in bread, cereal, pasta, cereals, rice and starchy vegetables like potatoes and corn, and
2.Sugars – including natural sugar (found in foods such as fruits, milk, yogurt, honey) and sugars added (found in foods such as soft drinks, cakes, candy, cookies)
During digestion, sugars and starches are broken down into single units carbohydrate (as glucose, fructose, lactose, sucrose, maltose) to allow the body to absorb them. They are then all converted into glucose, which is used as energy by the body. Some types of carbohydrates are less digestible than others and can not be broken down into glucose – which are classified as dietary fiber.
Sugar, syrup, jams, honey, jams, jellies, molasses, and soft drinks contain simple carbohydrates and little or no nutrients.
Fruits contain primarily simple carbohydrates, but also valuable vitamins, minerals, fiber and water.
Vegetables contain varying amounts of simple carbohydrates and complex vitamins, minerals, fiber and water.
Legumes such as beans, peas, lentils and soybeans contain complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and proteins.
Dairy products contain simple carbohydrates along with protein, calcium and other nutrients.
Grain products contain complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals and proteins. The amounts vary by type of grain used and the amount of processing. Selecting whole grain options whenever possible recommended.

Fiber:

Fiber is the structural part of a plant that can not be decomposed by enzymes of digestion. The fiber found in plant foods like fruits, vegetables, cereals, grains, nuts and legumes (peas, beans and lentils). Animal foods and dairy products do not contain fiber.
There are two main types of dietary fiber – soluble and insoluble fiber:
Soluble fiber may help cholesterol levels in the blood when eaten as part of a balanced diet low in fat. Soluble fiber may help control blood sugar levels in blood and in the treatment of obesity. Foods rich in soluble fiber include oats, fruits and vegetables.
Insoluble fiber helps prevent constipation. Foods rich in this type of fiber include wheat-based bread and cereals, legumes, lentils and pasta.

How to get more fiber:

The following are some ways to incorporate fiber in your daily diet:
1.Opt of whole-grain bread, rye or black high fiber white bread. Whole grains are the preferred choice to white, eg.wholemeal flour, rice or pasta.
2.CHOOSE dried wheat or rye crackers and whole grain buns.
3.Choose grain cereals like bran cereal, a toasted muesli or oatmeal, as oatmeal.
4.Combine meat dishes with rice, beans, oatmeal and lentils.
5.Eat all kinds of fruits and vegetables (fresh, dried, canned) and, if possible, also eat the skin such as jacket potatoes.

Water:

Next to oxygen, water is most important body nutrient.Yet human, 75% of Australians are chronically dehydrated and not drinking enough water for adequate hydration.
Water is part of the body's cells, tissues, organs and all processes in the body. In fact, up to 60% of the human body is water. Water is important for the following body functions;
-Regulation of body temperature.
-Elimination of body waste.
-Take the nutrients, oxygen and glucose to cells to give the body energy.
-Provide natural moisture of skin and other tissues.
Cushioning joints and helping to strengthen the muscles.
"Keeping the stool soft.
If you wait until you are thirsty, you are dehydrated and may have lost ½ -1 liter of water, so it is important to drink before you get thirsty.
Liquid so that it need daily?
1.1500-2000 thousandths of an inch per day for adults (6-8 glasses of water)
2.1000-1500 thousandths of an inch per day for children (4-6 glasses of water)

Fat:

There are three main types of fat found in foods: saturated fat, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Our bodies need fats in our diet and many fats also contain vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are beneficial to our health. Hence, consumption of small amounts of healthy fats can actually improve your overall health.
However, excess intake of all types of fat leads to an increase weight. If you are overweight, excess fat around your middle (called "central obesity") may result in an increased risk of heart disease, high cholesterol and diabetes.

Types of dietary fat:

Saturated Fat:
Saturated fat is solid at room temperature and are mainly in animal products (except oil palm and coconut is), such as fatty cuts of meat, chicken skin and fat dairy products such as butter, whole milk, cream and cheese, and tropical vegetable oils such as palm, palm kernel and coconut oil. Saturated fat in the diet increases the level of LDL "bad" cholesterol in your blood. The higher the LDL cholesterol, the greater the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD), by time, cause blockage in the arteries heart causing a heart attack or hardening of blood vessels (atherosclerosis).

Monounsaturated Fat:
This type fat is liquid at room temperature and are found in vegetable products such as olive, peanut and canola oils and avocados and most nuts. Research has shown that these types of fats, when consumed in small quantities (and with a diet low in saturated fat), can actually lower your risk of heart disease. This is because it causes a reduction in bad cholesterol (LDL-cholesterol) and increased good cholesterol (HDL-cholesterol).

Polyunsaturated Fat:
This type of fat made of important fats such as omega-3 and omega-6. Foods rich in polyunsaturated fats include vegetable oils such as safflower, corn, sunflower, soybean and cotton seed oil and fish and seafood. Research has also shown that these fats may reduce the risk of heart disease. This is due to a lower tendency of blood clotting that causes heart attacks (found in omega-3).

Trans Fats:
This is a type of unsaturated fat that is created in many processed foods like cookies, cakes, pies, margarine and assimilation of food out or faster. This is one of the most dangerous fat because it increases your risk of heart disease by increasing the amount of bad cholesterol and decrease the amount of cholesterol good blood.

Why the excess fat is bad for your health:
Fats have the highest kilojoules (or calories) content of all foods (38Kj per gram compared to carbohydrates that are 17 kJ per gram and protein has 19Kj per gram). It is also less filling of nutrients, which means it does not fill up or leave you satisfied, which can lead to excessive consumption and weight gain.

A diet high in total fat may lead to:
1.An increased weight gain.
2.Increased risk of type II diabetes or glucose control.
3.Increased disease risk cardiovascular.
4.Increased triglycerides in the blood (triglycerides is another "fat" in the blood, and encourage high levels of LDL or "bad" LDL accumulates in the blood)
5.Increased bloodnpressure.
6.Increased blood cholesterol.

However, fats should be avoided completely. The consumption of small amounts of healthy fats can actually improve their health and reduce your risk of heart disease. Remember that the type of fat consumed and the amount of fat consumed are important factors.

Protein:

Thousands of various substances in the body are made of proteins. Moreover water, proteins make up the bulk of our muscles, organs and immune system, about 16% of body weight.
Many foods contain protein, but the best sources are:
1.Beef
2.Poultry
3.Fish
4.Eggs
Products 5.Dairy
6.Nuts
7.Seeds
8.Legumes as black beans

The body uses the protein ingested for many of the protein molecules that have specialized specific jobs. For example, the body uses protein to make hemoglobin, the red blood cells that carries oxygen to all parts of the body. Other proteins are used to build cardiac muscles, such as the heart. In fact, if you're running or watching TV, the protein is doing important work like moving your legs, moving the lungs, and protects you from disease.
When you eat foods containing protein, gastric juices in the stomach and intestine go to work to break food proteins in the basic units called amino acids. Amino acids can then be stored and reused to make proteins that the body needed to keep bones, blood and body organs.

Protein content:

It takes approximately 1 gram of protein per day for each kilogram of weight.
Look at the food label to know how many grams of protein in a ration is useful, but if you are eating a balanced diet is not necessary to monitor it. It's pretty easy to get enough protein in your diet.

Why you should eat fruit

You've probably been hearing a lot about the value of a raw food diet. A raw diet consists mainly raw, unprocessed fruits, vegetables, sprouts, seaweed, nuts and juices. It \ 'sa vegetarian diet, but rejects any animal products. Its fundamental principle is that cooking and processing take most of the essential vitamins, enzymes and nutrients that our bodies evolved to thrive on.

Frugivorous, as the word implies, eat primarily fruits, nuts and grains as well. Fruitarian diet also includes foods like tomatoes or avocados, which are the fruits. The fruit is nutritious and refreshing for your health. It doesn \ 't block the body \' s vital arteries, even better, in fact empty and clean. A fruit diet also illuminates our bodies and spirits, in line with the general illumination of our planetary vibration rate which many other sources we say that is taking place at this time.

You need to eat carefully if you choose a Fruitarian diet because it can be more of a challenge for enough essential protein in the diet. A Fruitarian eats anything that has been killed or stolen. That supplants meat, dairy, and plants with thousands of combinations fruit and nuts on the planet. For example, a fruitarian can eat an avocado sandwich, a coconut milk shake or ice cream pure coconut milk and meat Fruit, veggie burgers made of lentil or bean paste or tofu, a succotash of corn, limas, peas and tomatoes, sweets made with pure maple syrup or date sugar, pecan pies made with fruit sugars, fruit shakes made from a blend of orange and banana, pear and peach, pomegranate, papaya and plum. A pizza of tofu, tomato and pepper (not pepperoni), salads of tomato, cucumber, green pepper and red (but not lettuce, cabbage, or celery), nut butters as almond butter or tahini, hummus

chickpea paste). In other words, Fruitarian can eat fruits, 99.9% of the time, but sometimes indulge in the delights food groups.

vegan recipes Hello everyone – my BF and I are trying to add a day a week in vegan – as a way to massively cut their lifestyle oriented to meat. I do not eat much meat, but usually have fish or eggs or some milk products in question, so Im looking for any taste, kid friendly, vegan recipes!
What are some good alternatives to cow's milk and soy milk?

I used to drink organic skim milk, but I'm trying to push myself away from dairy products as much as possible, and I do not like the taste of soy milk more with the new research has said it can not be a lot wrong with it and can cause cancer. I have heard of coconut milk and hemp milk, that they can drink (also eat cereal)? What are some of the other? How do these taste? Thanks in advance for your answers! :) And by the way, I'm vegetarian, not vegan (because it may be due to allergies) so you do not want anything about how milk is bad for you. Thank you!

Rice milk, almond milk and hemp milk (which has already said) are fairly easy to find these days. You will also occasionally come across oat milk (the brand is most commonly seen oat Dream it People who make soy / Dream Rice). Rice milk is sweeter than cow's milk or soy milk. It is like drinking liquid rice pudding. The texture is lighter and more watery soymilk. I can not say what it tastes like almond milk, almonds and from me horribly nauseous and hate nuts in general. I have hemp milk in my pantry waiting to be tried once I'm out of soy milk, so I can not say yet what I know. I've heard from others that is a bit nutty and the texture thicker than the other "milks and cow's milk. Coconut milk is not something that most people will use as a replacement for cow's milk because it is high in fat and has a coarser texture. It tastes like coconut (obviously). It's sweet, thick and creamy.
