A recipe for Jasmine Curry?

I recently had a fabulous dish for a Chinese restaurant called "Mixed Vegetable Curry with Jasmine. Described as a sweet curry and coconut milk is based, with red peppers and kaffir lime leaves (and other things, obviously). I googled, but can not find anything that sounds like that – maybe the name is unique to the restaurant? Does anyone have a recipe for it?

Makes 4 servings Ingredients Measure Lemon grass stock: 6 cups water 1 Grass Stem lemon 4 pieces of dried galangal root 4 kaffir lime leaves 1 onion – cut in half 1 large carrot – cut into the media 1 rib celery – halved Risotto: 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon Thai curry paste – (Panang) 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 ¼ cup Thai jasmine rice – rinsed and drained 14 oz Can 2 tablespoons Thai fish sauce 1 teaspoon honey ½ cup diced sweet red pepper 1 cup diced tomatoes 1 ½ cups diced oyster, shiitake, Portobello or – white mushrooms 2 tablespoons pine nuts – toasted 1 tablespoon diced mozzarella cheese ½ cup half and half – or evaporated milk 2 tablespoons thin-sliced kaffir lime ½ cup cooked sliced thin or Thailand – regular basil 4 sprigs of basil Put the water coconut milk, lemon grass, galangal root, lime leaves, onion, carrot and celery in large pot and bring to boil. Cook over medium heat until stock is reduced to 1 quart and tension. Combine olive oil, curry paste and garlic in large skillet and saute over high heat until the mixture turns red. Add rice, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Add lemon grass broth and simmer 10 minutes, stirring every minute to keep the rice from sticking to the pan. Add coconut milk, fish sauce, honey, red pepper, tomato and mushrooms, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring every minute. Add the pine nuts, mozzarella cheese and half and half, and cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the leaves of lime and 1 / 2 cup basil, and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat. Serve in bowls garnished with basil

Skin Care Natural Cider Shaukat at lulu.com Make your own face masks

When we think of a spa, the first thing you think is the face and body covered with a green clay mask. Clay is fantastic for the impurities removed to leave skin radiant. A shower later, as cool as can be endured, makes wonders for circulation.

I make a green clay mask and turmeric (turmeric is the yellow spice used in sauces is a great cleanser) mixing a heaping tablespoon of green clay with 1 teaspoon of turmeric and yogurt mixture in vivo or if you prefer the water to make a thick paste. If you have dry skin, you might want to add a little almond oil as needed. This is sufficient for the face, making large quantities for the body.

For oily skin, make a clay mask of a mixture of 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon of fuller's earth (from chemists). Add a few drops of peppermint oil. Let dry and rinse with warm water.

For dry, beat 1 egg white, mix with 1 teaspoon honey. Place a pastry brush and leave for 10 minutes. Wash with cold water. The egg white gives this mask is firming effect.

Your bathroom could be the equivalent of the hot tub treatment for their properties. Cleopatra bathed in asses' milk to maintain her beauty, can do the same too! Instead of donkey milk, you can add 1 / 4 pint of milk to water, or try 2 tablespoons of powdered milk for the same effect. For added indulgence, a few drops of coconut essence give the bathroom a tropical feel or try a drops of coconut essence.

You can even create the illusion of being in a thermal mud bath, as they do in Iceland, known for its therapeutic effects, but add only two or three tablespoons of green clay or fuller's earth for the hot water running. Soak for as long as possible for maximum benefit.

Dive in a warm bath scented with essential oils such as ylang ylang, patchouli or rosemary (to clean the head) and lavender, rose or chamomile (to relax and calm). Sure that water is too hot, and that stimulates the nervous system and reduces the therapeutic powers of the oils. To make this special indulgent immersion, Put soft, soothing music, dim the lights in the bathroom and relax.

What should I serve hot tea with Thai food?

If I were to make grilled chicken with sweet chili sauce, jasmine rice, curry red coconut soup with vegetables, and vegetable rolls, which I serve hot tea? Jasmine tea? PS I do not like anything that involves the sweetened condensed milk. PSS suggestions for specific types and / or brands are welcome!

If you feel that you have to serve hot tea and then I would not go with Jasmine. It is very fragrant and could compete with food (beat) I would suggest an oolong tea or smoked India Black Tea (which will be named when I remember)

Chicken Korma

I thought it was time to try a recipe from a fellow food blogger after a month of writing my own, so after running into "Back to the chopping board" by James Brewer (after that the dismissal occurred Food Blogging Event Floyd), I realized it was a man after my own heart and enjoyed a curry or two!

After of wanting to make a curry of the earth for a very long time, I thought his chicken Korma would be ideal to try to get to make the paste too. I think the recipe is an adaptation Jamie Oliver a one of its Ministry of Food book. The pictures that are made curry James site I wanted to have a go as part of a curry the night that I wanted do.

After going through my spice cabinet, I realized I just need to get a few extra bits, so it came to stores to get a green chile, some almonds and desiccated coconut, some fresh corriander, a can of coconut milk and a jar of cream. This would be a cheap meal and fun to make! The only thing that has not yet use the original recipe was that the beans as I am not a big fan of them.

I all washed, chopped, sliced, crushed and preparations, took my laptop in the kitchen (the printer had run out of ink, so he had no way of printing it out) and went to work to cook this recipe. At the same time as the creation of this dish, I also cooked a Balti plants from the site of the BBC Good Food, and wanted to make my life a little harder! I'll write about that dish in another post.

This recipe was very fun to do and would recommend anyone to try. Make the dough in the beginning was the best bit, instead of having to use one purchased. I am really pleased how he got!

All I will say is that this is the best Korma have done, and although there are some great pasta sauces and there, nothing can top what yourself from the base. This is definitely one will do so again. It tasted delicious!

Korma Paste

2 garlic cloves, Ginger, the thumb-sized piece 1 / 2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon Garam Masala 1 / 2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons peanut oil 1 tablespoon pureed fresh tomato 1 green pepper 3 tablespoons desiccated coconut 2 tablespoons cilantro low Almonds, bouquet 2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander seeds

1 slice whole cumin and coriander seeds together in a dry skillet for a few minutes until golden. Remove from heat and when cool, grind in a mortar.

2 Peel the garlic and ginger and about CHOP.

3 Place all ingredients in a food processor and whistle until a soft dough.

Chicken Korma

2 Chicken Breasts Big ginger 2 medium onions, cilantro thumb-sized piece, butter oil small handful of peanuts, Nut Korma Paste (see above) 1 x 400 ml can of coconut milk 2 tablespoons desiccated coconut 1 heaped teaspoon of sea salt packed almonds and freshly ground Black crushed 4 tablespoons creme fraiche

1 First cut the chicken into cubes.

2 Peel and chop the onion finely, peel and finely chop the ginger, the selection cilantro leaves and, finally, cut the stems.

3 Place a large saucepan over high heat, and add a little oil additions. Place the chicken in the bread and coffee slightly on all sides for about 5 minutes, then remove from pan.

4 Add the butter, onion, ginger and coriander leaves. Keep stirring frequently to ensure that nothing catches and burns, but become uniformly golden about 10 minutes.

5 Add the chicken back in pan and cook about 2-3 minutes.

6 Set up your Korma paste, stir well and cook for about 2-3 minutes to help cook the rawness out.

7 Pour in the milk coconut, ground almonds and desiccated coconut. Fill the empty half a can of coconut milk with water and pour into the pan and give a good stir. Bring back to boiling, turndown at low heat for 30 minutes with a lid. Check the curry regularly to make sure it does not dry out – if you add a little water.

8 When chicken is tender, season with salt and pepper and stir through Creme Fraiche.

Serve with Pilau rice and sprinkle with coriander leaves.

Enjoy!
