A Bit About Ginger Coleen

Ginger ColeenHere is the short story that tells why I’m so passionate about helping others to find their way to health.

My career has been in computer repair and support for over 25 years. I had a thriving computer repair business in the small town I lived in, and worked very hard for three years to build it. It wasn’t making me rich, but I had a full-time employee and it was paying the bills with a bit left to spare. Then another in a series of life traumas appeared on my radar.

My father had been sent home from the hospital to die after suffering from Emphysema for many years. The trauma of my father’s death was a combination of the loss of a loved one, the stress it placed on me as the oldest child and the lack of any support from my immediate family members. I won’t get into all the details here, but it was six months of daily high level stress dealing with family and non-family members and attorneys. The day after it was over I began suffering 3-4 severe angina attacks daily.

The angina was the beginning of what would turn out to be a three year illness that would destroy my business, deplete my inheritance and leave me at the doorstep of foreclosure with creditors vying for my assets (what assets!). It was the lowest point in my life. I’m not bitter about losing the inheritance. In fact, I thank God it was there. Had it not been for the money and assets from my inheritance, I likely would not be sitting here writing this today.

Doctors did not know what to do or what was wrong and what was really sad, most didn’t seem to care. They said I had hypothyroidism and chronic fatigue syndrome but treatment for hypo did nothing to help. I was basically told to get used to it as there was nothing that could be done. It turned out that they had only scratched the surface.

As a result of exposure to Malathion spraying in Tampa, Florida in 1997, high stress levels and repeatedly taking antibiotics over a 10 year span for sinus issues, my body was simply unable to cope any longer. The next three years would reveal many health issues, some of which conventional medicine does not recognize or treat. I was in my mid 50’s and single when this happened, without any friends or family to help. So, it was on my shoulders, despite how sick I might be, to find the answers. I didn’t know it then, but having to fend for myself in this matter was a blessing in disguise.

When I wasn’t sleeping or so fatigued I couldn’t think straight, I would go to the Internet and find articles or books to read. I have a whole bookcase full of them today. Some are great, others not so good. What I discovered was that conventional medicine does not make you well. Mainstream doctors today are taught to treat symptoms with chemical pharmaceutical drugs and don’t look for the cause of an illness. Additionally, prescriptions medications often cause more problems than they help as was the case with the antibiotics I took for so many years.

Todays doctors are simply puppets of the huge and very wealthy pharmaceutical industry that has perpetuated its influence in all aspects of governments throughout the world. The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) is no longer a branch of the US government that we can trust to make sound decisions about our health and wellness. In fact, they often work in concert with the pharmaceutical companies to accommodate their rising profit structure.

If you did your homework, you would find that many of the people who work in the FDA and other related aspects of government are often former employees or people with monetary interests in pharmaceutical companies. Conversely, many people working with the pharmaceutical companies have government ties. For more information on the dangers of pharmaceutical drugs and the FDA just check Amazon or Barnes and Noble. This is not new information and there are many good books on the subject.

Most people today are becoming wise to the fact that the medical profession does not have all the answers. However, there are still those that don’t understand and will do whatever a doctor tells them to do without questioning it. I never have been particularly fond of doctors or how they operate having had to go through this same scenario with my health in the past. Only then I didn’t find many answers. The Internet makes it so much easier to find good information today.

After two years of studying, despite the fact that I still was not completely well, I had recovered to a point where I could work part-time. It was at this point, that I knew I wanted to somehow bring this information to others, so I became a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant.

Books and information are the building blocks you will need to take charge of your own health. This site was designed to help you make wise choices. I have read most of the books that are recommended here and many more that are not. These are the cream of the crop.
